Oh mummy dearest I sing to thee
A song for all you’ve been for me
The night, the dark, the gloom despair
I sat, I cried, I did not care
A sinner drowned in misery
Yet lovingly you gazed on me
A broken spirit
A lonesome heart
Deserted soul
Torn apart
Indignant prayers and tearful eyes
Compassionate Mother you heard my cries
My desperate cries of plea to thee
I pondered on thy mysteries
The sorrow of my Savior’s passion
Oh Mother, my soul ’twas so guilt-stricken
Still gentle Mother, you looked with kindness
Upon my soul so full of darkness
You held the stray, your daughter forsaken
And brought her joy, the long forgotten
The joy that only He can bring
My hurts, my pains, you took to Him
He healed me of my misery
And now with glee I sing to thee

Free
O Blessed Spirit in thee I pray
Through trials and joys, by my side stay
May I never venture astray
And alone in grave slowly decay
O Sacred Silence, sing thee thy praise
To the Lord our God, thine gentle voice araise
In thee mine feeble words rephrase
To hymns of beauty; everlasting praise
O Blessed child lift thou thy face
Dwell and be healed within Mine grace
Freedom begins by a minute pace
With thee I am, throughout thine race
O Blessed Spirit, mourn not today,
Thy wicked child’s sinful dismay
Commit to Thee, and walk in Thine way
Thine child I am, all of my days
O Blessed Father, Holy be thy name
O Blessed Son, thy love I proclaim
O Blessed Spirit, blaze mine heart aflame
Let me be yours O Lord, and never be the same.
Through trials and joys, by my side stay
May I never venture astray
And alone in grave slowly decay
O Sacred Silence, sing thee thy praise
To the Lord our God, thine gentle voice araise
In thee mine feeble words rephrase
To hymns of beauty; everlasting praise
O Blessed child lift thou thy face
Dwell and be healed within Mine grace
Freedom begins by a minute pace
With thee I am, throughout thine race

Commit to Thee, and walk in Thine way

Vengeance- canticle of a Burmese Christian
Grief compelled Hannah’s laughter
Resentment forged Herod’s slaughter
You O Lord, weeps in the heavens
We your children, suffer on earth
Be merciful my Lord, but show no mercy
Be just my God, but forgive no treachery
Vengeance is not for mortal men's taking
But in Your might, Lord, avenge my people
My heart is full of malice
Lepers they rest in palace
How Lord can I love the devil?
Or those in the likeness of his guise?
Day by day your children be slain
Where are you Lord, in the generals’ reign?
Uniformity drives Burma’s fall
Where lepers preach no remorse nor shame
China’s fuel, Than Shwe’s wealth
India’s fear, the junta’s health
Red robed rebels receive no ransom
Grudged green guns insult YOU, O God
ASEAN’s plight ever childish
UN’s prowess ever foolish
What Lord then is your plan?
Why does Your Church cower like the rest?
Why Lord should I forgive these murderers?
Why Lord should YOU forgive these plunderers?
Yet I wait in obedience and trust
Avenge us Lord! My soul cries out in pain
Remember me, my God, for I am faithful
Forget not the pain I endure for Your name
Your gospel, I will preach amidst these trials.
Even to these lepers who afflict the innocent
Resentment forged Herod’s slaughter
You O Lord, weeps in the heavens
We your children, suffer on earth
Be merciful my Lord, but show no mercy
Be just my God, but forgive no treachery
Vengeance is not for mortal men's taking

Good night my love
My dear my eyes are closing
My body needs her rest
With reluctance I am leaving
I’ll dream of you I guess?
Now don't be sad my darling
I’ll bid farewell for now
But come tomorrow you’ll see me
I’ll greet you with a smile
May angels be with you my love
And watch you while I sleep
I place my trust in God above
Your precious life he keeps
My body needs her rest
With reluctance I am leaving
I’ll dream of you I guess?
Now don't be sad my darling
I’ll bid farewell for now
But come tomorrow you’ll see me
I’ll greet you with a smile
May angels be with you my love
And watch you while I sleep
I place my trust in God above
Your precious life he keeps
Wisdom in hunger
My hunger you shall fill
My thirst you shall quench
In your words I hold onto
And wisdom shall i find
My thirst you shall quench
In your words I hold onto
And wisdom shall i find
In You I Wait
Weird are you Lord God of Israel
Crazy are your ways
For you have tested your servant in the wilderness
and sorrow fills his days
Where are you in my sufferings?
Where art thou in pain?
I searched for thee in darkness
I listened but in vain
My lips they sing your praises
But my soul, it cries in disdain
Oh Lord, my heart is aching
My head, hung low in shame
Have mercy on me a sinner
Despise me not this day
Hold me not in contempt
Lord, save me without delay
Oh God my soul is yearning
Oh God in you shall I wait...
Crazy are your ways
For you have tested your servant in the wilderness
and sorrow fills his days
Where are you in my sufferings?
Where art thou in pain?
I searched for thee in darkness
I listened but in vain
My lips they sing your praises
But my soul, it cries in disdain
Oh Lord, my heart is aching
My head, hung low in shame
Have mercy on me a sinner
Despise me not this day
Hold me not in contempt
Lord, save me without delay
Oh God my soul is yearning
Oh God in you shall I wait...
From office to psalms
Abi to liz...
Now vespers was our training
And lauds was practice too
So now we'll sound like psalmist
Now who to blame but you!!
Now vespers was our training
And lauds was practice too
So now we'll sound like psalmist
Now who to blame but you!!
Redemption
Oh Lord, I wait for you
I count upon your words
As precious stones to a jeweller’s palm
I count upon your words
As new born child to his mother’s heart
I rejoice in your promises
Oh God, life is empty
My soul is forsaken
As an unwanted child to captive parents
My soul is forsaken
As stray hound to his former master
You forsook my soul
Yahweh, cruel are your ways
Ignorant are you to the cries of men
As selfish kings to impoverished subjects
Ignorant are you to the cries of men
As greedy merchants to unjust bargains
Unjust are you laws upon men
Oh men, trust not in your God
Stand firm and be saved
As the mountains to storms and flood
Stand firm and be saved
As solid rocks to waves and tides
Stand firm against your enemies
Oh Christ, meek be your heart,
Loving are You my Lord
As a mother’s breast to an infant’s lips
Loving are You my Lord,
Oh Christ, mercy be your name
Forgiving is your sacred heart
As a compassionate judge to condemned men,
Forgiving is your sacred heart.
Your eyes has shed my tears,
Your skull has felt my pain,
Your hands have shared my sorrows,
Your feet pierced as one with my heart,
Your side has suffered my insults,
Your death, O Lord, Your death
Has cracked the shells of my death
Your words, O Lord, Your words
Rules men with justice and peace
Your blood, O Lord, Your blood
Has redeemed my forsaken soul
Your life, O Lord, Your life
Fills my spirit with eternal joy
May You be blessed my God
Forever and ever, Amen
I count upon your words
